Forehead Lift in Montreal

The purpose of this procedure is to lift drooping eyebrows to clear the eyelids and correct a heavy and tired appearance. It can be done alone or combined with a Cervicofacial Lift or Blepharoplasty.

An overview of forehead lift surgery:

According to the chosen technique, the surgery can be performed under local or general anesthesia. Postoperative pain is usually mild to moderate and can be relieved with Tylenol® or small doses of codeine.

The procedures for a forehead lift surgery:

There are 2 techniques for forehead lift:

1. Traditional Technique:

This is done through an incision within the hairline, extending from one ear to the other.

2. Endoscopic Technique:

This involves making small incisions in the scalp and using a mini camera connected to a television to perform the procedure. This method yields very natural results and has the advantage of causing fewer scars and complications. The surgery lasts about 1.5 hours and can be performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. The recovery time is approximately 10 days.

  • It is also possible to perform a slight temporal lift through smaller incisions at the temples to slightly lift the tail of the eyebrow.
  • Botox® can also provide a slight forehead lift effect without surgery; however, it needs to be repeated every 4 to 6 months.
