This procedure corrects drooping brows. It can be done alone or combined with a cervicofacial or a blepharoplasty.

The conventional surgical method is done by making an incision that is hidden just behind the hairline from one ear to the other.

Since a few years now, a new method known as endoscopic has been developed. It is performed with the use of an endoscope (small camera) that is hooked to a viewing instrument and allows the procedures to be done with minimal incisions on the scalp.

This method gives great natural results and has the advantage of leaving fewer scars and bringing fewer complications. The surgery lasts one hour and a half and can be done under local anaesthesia with sedation or general anaesthesia. The recovery period is approximately ten days.

The post-surgical pain is moderate and can be relieved with Tylenol® or small doses of codeine. Botox® p can give a forehead lift effect without going under surgery, however the treatment requires to be repeated every 4 to 6 months.
